We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for an Analyst 1 to join our dynamic Microbiology team at ALS Environmental in Wakefield. About the Position
- Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
- Hours: 37 hours per week
- Salary: £25,878 per annum
- Working Pattern:
- Monday to Friday, working a mix of 8:00am–4:00pm and 1:00pm–9:00pm shifts, with an occasional requirement to stay until 10:00pm dependent on business needs
- Weekend working on a rotated basis
- Occasional bank holiday working required
- Participation in a 24-hour on-call rota on a rotated basis
The Day to Day:
- Process samples in line with our Quality Management System
- Achieve sample completion targets and meet deadlines
- Work closely with team members to ensure efficient sample processing
- Understand and respond to customer requirements
- Follow COSHH Risk Assessments to handle chemicals safely
The Essentials:
- Minimum of an A Level in Science or an equivalent qualification
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures meticulously
- Good communication skills and basic IT proficiency
- A collaborative team player who can also organise and manage their workload independently
- A customer-focused mindset with a dedication to providing excellent service
