Sample Collection Driver
Join ALS as a part-time Sample Collection Driver based at our Rotherham site. This weekend role involves collecting multiple samples from customers and returning them to the site, ensuring all collections are handled with care and efficiency.
About the Position
- Hours Per Week: 16
- Days Per Week: Sunday to Monday – 16 hours (shift – between the hours of 06:00 – 18:00)
- Contract: Permanent contract
- Annual Salary: £10,334
- Areas Covered: Chatteris Link & Notts Route
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Driving in a safe and appropriate manner; always courteous to other road users and acting as a great ambassador to our brand and values.
- Maintaining the temperature control of the vehicle\’s fridge at all times.
- Developing and maintaining courteous professional relationships with clients and staff at ALS sites.
- Completing paperwork accurately, recording van temperatures and sample consignments.
- Performing daily checks, basic maintenance such as fluid top‑up and cleaning of the vehicle.
The Essentials
- A full, clean driving licence.
- Strong adherence to road regulations, demonstrating exemplary driving behaviour.
- Previous experience operating medium wheelbase vans.
- A solid understanding of UK road networks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible and dependable.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, enthusiastic, with a friendly and approachable manner.
