We are looking for a reliable and professional Sample Collection Driver to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for:
- Collecting samples from our clients’ sites and delivering them safely and promptly to the laboratory, ensuring that all materials arrive in good condition and within the required timeframes.
- Representing ALS, maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service on every journey.
- Driving at all times in a safe and appropriate manner; always courteous to other road users.
- Ensuring the temperature control of the vehicle’s fridge is maintained at all times.
- Developing and maintaining a good professional relationship with staff at both client and ALS sites.
- Maintaining a degree of flexibility on collection runs to allow for additional requests and traffic delays.
- Carrying out monthly swabbing on company vehicles.
- Maintaining a smart appearance of both driver and vehicle; projecting a positive public image of ALS.
- Ensuring that vehicle maintenance is upheld including tyres, oil, water and overall condition of the vehicle.
- Completing paperwork in full and in a legible format.
- Informing the Regional Transport Manager of any client issues or other pertinent information.
The Essentials:
- A full clean driving licence.
- Good adherence to the rules of the road and demonstrate excellent driver behaviour standards.
- Ideally have previous experience in a similar role.
- Have a good working knowledge of UK road networks.
- Have excellent communication skills.
