ALS Laboratories are looking for a Laboratory Analyst Grade 1 to support their Organics department at ALS Coventry.
Laboratory Analysts require a good mix of skills. The person will be responsible for ensuring procedures are followed to effectively and accurately test samples, and record results in line with company targets. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a meticulous and methodical approach to tasks. This role would be a great starting point for somebody looking to begin their career in Environmental Sciences!

- Hours Per Week: 37
- Days Per Week: Sunday to Thursday (08:00 - 16:00)
- Contract: Full Time and Permanent
- Salary: £24,242 per annum

The Day to Day
- Understand customer requirements.
- Ensure samples are completed efficiently and effectively following all process, procedures, and legislation.
- Deliver on key performance indicators.
- Report and understand analytical data.
- Participate in the Taste and Odour panel on a rotational basis following screening.
- Assist team members to achieve work objectives.
- Proactively ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
The Essentials
- Qualifications required are 5 GCSEs at Grade C (equivalent to new Grade 4) or above to include Science, Maths and English and an A level or equivalent in scientific subject.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures, with a willingness to learn.
- Client focused approach with a solution oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to plan and organise own work area.
