The Role ALS Laboratories are seeking a Laboratory Analyst (Grade 3) to join the Inorganics department at their Coventry site. In this role, you will carry out the analysis of samples across a range of methods, using GC, GCMS and LC techniques, ensuring all work is completed to the required timescales and quality standards. You will work closely with senior analysts to support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the laboratory, assisting colleagues and undertaking training to meet established standards. We are looking for a candidate with a keen eye for detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately and consistently. Role Details Hours Per Week: 37 Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (08:00 – 16:00) Contract: Full Time and Fixed Term (until May 2027) Annual Salary: £26,678 Hiring Manager: Chaya Parekh Closing Date: Friday 8th May 2026 The Day‑to‑Day Understand customer requirements. Ensure samples are completed efficiently and effectively following all process, procedures, and legislation. Deliver on key performance indicators. Report analytical data. Troubleshoot and rectify equipment issues, including daily preventative maintenance. Investigate and report on NCW on the QMS and assign priority. Assist team members to achieve work objectives. Proactively ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures. The Essentials Qualifications required are 5 GCSEs at Grade C (equivalent to new Grade 4) or above to include Science, Maths and English. A level or equivalent in scientific subject, or relevant industry knowledge. Ability to follow instructions and procedures, with a willingness to learn. Client‑driven. Excellent communication skills. Computer literate. Great collaborator. Ability to plan and organise own work area.
