At ALS Food Testing, every sample tells a story and we’re here to make sure that story is one of safety, quality, and trust. Our high-throughput laboratories deliver reliable analytical results for clients across the food industry, helping protect consumers and support global brands.
The Position
- Location: Chatteris
- Hours Per Week: 40
- Shift: Monday to Friday – 08:00 – 16:00
- Contract: Full Time and Permanent
- Annual Salary: £27,180
The Day-to-Day
- Perform analytical testing and sample preparation following standard operating procedures.
- Accurately record, interpret, and report test results within required timelines.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab equipment to ensure reliable results.
- Collaborate with colleagues to manage high sample volumes efficiently and safely.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Uphold quality, safety, and environmental standards across all activities.
The Essentials
- A background in chemistry, biology, food science, or a related field (degree or equivalent experience).
- Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to tasks.
- Comfort working with data, numbers, and analytical instruments.
- Ability to focus and perform well under structured or routine processes.
- Clear communication skills — written, verbal, or visual — whatever works best for you.
- A team mindset with openness to different perspectives, needs, and working styles.
