Some compliance roles are about keeping things ticking over. This one is about building, shaping and influencing. This Lloyd’s Broker is in a genuine growth phase following new investment, which means compliance isn’t standing still. New ideas are welcomed, change is happening, and there’s real opportunity to get involved in work that goes far beyond the usual day-to-day. If you enjoy variety, momentum and being part of something evolving, this role will stand out.
What makes this different
- This isn’t a siloed compliance position where you own one narrow area and repeat it every month. Instead, you’ll:
- Work on projects linked to new business lines and jurisdictions
- Have genuine ownership and autonomy over your work
- Be trusted to apply judgement rather than follow a script
- Act as a visible partner to the business, including client interaction
- Play an active role in shaping how compliance supports growth
There will still be core compliance responsibilities but they won’t define your day. You will be getting involved in and have ownership of specific projects and/or topics: e.g. SMCR; data governance; compliance oversight of specific overseas offices and/or new divisions etc.
Who this is really for
This will appeal to someone with drive / ambition to want to achieve and grow in this space and confidence in your interaction with internal and external stakeholders. You might be:
- A Senior Compliance Analyst ready for a step up
- A Deputy Compliance Manager wanting broader exposure
- Or a Compliance Manager in a larger organisation who wants the variety and influence that comes with a smaller, growing business
You’ll be someone who:
- Will have gained extensive experience within the compliance function of either an Insurance Broker / MGA or Insurer
- Uses initiative and enjoys taking ownership
- Is comfortable engaging with stakeholders and clients
- Likes change, problem-solving and building things as you go
The practical bits
- Salary benchmarked around £80,000, with flexibility for the right person
- Great benefits package and Discretionary bonus
- Hybrid working: 3 days a week in the London office
- Permanent role with scope to grow as the business expands
If you’re looking for a compliance role that feels alive, varied and forward-looking, rather than repetitive or boxed-in, this is a great opportunity worth exploring.
