You're tired of the London commute but not ready to step back in your career. 3 or 4 days a week in the city is too much and a more local position would be ideal, Essex to be exact. If that's how you're feeling then this role could be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

If you’ve built your experience in a busy, city-based compliance role, you’ll know the pace, the pressure, and the travel that comes with it. Now maybe you want something closer to home. Something more flexible. Something that still challenges you but fits your life better. That’s where this role comes in.

You’ll still be doing meaningful compliance work, just without the London grind and with a lot of variety. You’ll take ownership of complaints from start to finish. Review marketing before it goes live. Sense-check policies and procedures across the business. Review TOBAS and complete due diligence checks. You’ll strengthen registers, improve MI, and connect everything back to Consumer Duty outcomes. Being a proactive compliance department, not a reactive one.

The difference? You’ll have flexibility. They’re open on structure: full-time, part-time, hybrid or office-based. They’re far more interested in finding the right person with FCA compliance experience. You’ll work closely with the Head of Compliance who is looking for someone like you to come in and support the business as they grow.

It's a brand new role that'll allow you to have a real input into how compliance operates. There’s progression here too. As the business continues to grow, the compliance function is evolving with it, so there’s genuine opportunity to develop your role over time. You’ll also be supported with professional development and formal qualifications, if that’s something you want to pursue.

So, what do you do next? Send over whatever CV you have; it doesn't have to be the most up to date. Connect with me or give me a call on 07825550509. Everyone will get a response.
