Role: Transport Planner

Salary: GBP28,000 – GBP35,000 (Negotiable DOE)

Location: Redditch, West Midlands

Work Pattern: Monday – Friday (:00)

Summary:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our client\’s team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimising transportation routes to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries.

Key Duties:

• Plan, organise, and coordinate daily transport schedules and routes
• Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth delivery operations
• Monitor and track shipments, addressing any delays or issues
• Optimise routing to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Ensure compliance with safety and transport regulations
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, schedules, and transport activities
• Provide regular updates to the operations team and management

Requirements:

• Previous experience in transport planning or logistics (preferred)
• Previous experience in pallet networks planning in particular
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Knowledge of transport and logistics regulations
• Familiarity with route planning software and tracking systems (advantageous)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and priorities
