We are partnering with a premier Manchester-based forwarder to find an Air Freight Specialist who can handle the urgency of air movements with total precision. Whether it's a time-critical export or a complex import, if you love keeping cargo airborne and clients happy, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Operations: Manage the full lifecycle of air import and export shipments, from initial quotation to final delivery.
- Airline Coordination: Liaise with airlines and ground handling agents to secure space and ensure timely departures/arrivals.
- Compliance & Documentation: Prepare MAWBs, HAWBs, and manage customs entries to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Client Management: Provide "real-time" updates and proactive solutions for customers with time-sensitive requirements.
- Financial Accuracy: Oversight of job costing, carrier rates, and final invoicing to maintain healthy margins.
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years of experience within an Air Freight forwarding role (UK-based).
- Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of IATA regulations, air documentation, and customs procedures.
- Systems: Proficiency in CargoWise, MultiFreight, or similar logistics platforms.
- Mindset: Highly organized, able to multitask under pressure, and a natural problem-solver.
