Our client, a well-established freight forwarding and logistics provider, is seeking a Road Freight Customer Service Coordinator to join their Nottingham operation. This position is ideal for someone with experience within road freight forwarding, transport, or logistics customer service who is looking to join a growing business offering long-term career development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing customer enquiries relating to UK and European road freight shipments
  • Acting as the main point of contact for customers throughout the shipment lifecycle
  • Providing shipment updates and proactively communicating any delays or issues
  • Liaising with hauliers, carriers, drivers, and internal operational teams
  • Supporting quotation requests and customer pricing enquiries
  • Ensuring all shipment records and documentation are accurately maintained
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Delivering high levels of customer service while meeting operational KPIs

Requirements

  • Previous experience within road freight forwarding, logistics, transport, or freight customer service
  • Understanding of UK and European road freight operations
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced logistics environment
  • Good IT skills, including experience using freight or transport management systems
