About the Role:
On the lookout for enthusiastic freight forwarder with experience on Ocean/ Air/ Road freight to join our industry leading clients in Solihull, West Midlands. This role involves handling multimodal operations from start to finish. The ideal candidate will ensure all shipments comply with UK and international customs regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process import and export operations for Air, Sea and Road freight
- Quoting and Pricing, maximising profit on jobs
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and customs requirements
- Building and maintaining working relationships
- Managing customs documentation and duty/VAT calculations
- Stay up to date with CNS, Destin8, Cargowise, CDS, CHIEF, and industry regulations
- Provide customer updates and resolve customs-related queries
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Freight Forwarder in freight forwarding or logistics
- Strong knowledge of Cargowise
- Proficiency with customs systems (e.g., CDS, CHIEF, Destin8, Sequoia)
- Understanding of commodity codes, duties, VAT, and trade agreements
