I'm currently recruiting for an Export Supervisor on behalf of a well-established and growing freight forwarding business based in East London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced export professional looking to step into a leadership role or for an existing supervisor seeking a position where they can make a genuine impact. The successful candidate will take ownership of the export operation, lead a team of five, and play a key role in driving operational efficiency and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the export operation.
- Act as the primary escalation point for operational, customer, and supplier issues.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5 operational staff.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and profitability.
- Work closely with commercial teams to support customer growth and maximise operational performance.
- Monitor workflows, customer queries, and supplier relationships to ensure service levels are maintained.
- Support credit control activities and ensure accounts remain up to date.
- Manage team performance, holiday approvals, and employee development.

- Strong background in export freight forwarding and logistics operations.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Excellent operational knowledge across export processes and documentation.
