Position: Full-Time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading global freight forwarder based in Bradford. They are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Air Freight Operator to join their busy international logistics team. In this role, you will take full ownership of both air import and export files, ensuring absolute compliance, swift turnaround times, and top-tier client service.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • End-to-End Coordination: Manage the daily execution of air freight import and export shipments from initial booking through to final delivery and clearance.
  • Documentation & Customs: Prepare and process crucial aviation documentation, including Air Waybills (AWBs), MAWBs, HAWBs, manifests, and customs declaration.
  • Carrier & Agent Liaison: Coordinate closely with airlines, handling agents, hauliers, overseas offices, and customs authorities to ensure timely movement of cargo.
  • Client Relationship Management: Act as a key point of contact for accounts, providing real-time tracking updates, proactive problem-solving, and resolving operational issues smoothly.
  • Financial Integrity: Complete accurate job costing, handle billing and invoicing, and maximize file profitability.

  • Experience: Proven experience working in Air Freight Operations (covering Imports, Exports, or both) within a freight forwarding environment is essential.
  • Technical Knowledge: A strong grasp of air freight procedures, airline schedules, Incoterms, and customs compliance.
