About the Company
Leading Global Logistics Provider who are now looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager with experience within the European Road Freight market to join their team in the UK. This is an opportunity for either Freight Account Managers, who are looking to move away from Operations and focus on securing New Business Opportunities to develop within a Business Development Manager role, or if you are currently a Business Development Manager looking for an opportunity to join one of the worlds leading companies with genuine opportunities to progress up the ladder as well as be rewarded with an excellent salary, benefits package and commission structure offering up to 20% of the Gross Profit you generate!
Salary and compensation package
- Salary £65,000 - £85,000 (dependent on experience)

About the Role
Our client is looking for New Business Hunters experienced in the European Road Freight market to join their successful sales team. You will be working with and have the support of an experienced Operational team to provide the necessary support. This core role will focus on identifying, sourcing, developing and securing new business opportunities with customers who are importing and exporting goods across border via Road Freight.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and sourcing new leads
- Actively selling European Road Freight Solutions, selling Full Loads, Part Loads and Groupage as well as Dedicated and Express Solutions
- Quoting and winning new business to achieve agreed annual targets
- Developing relationships with customers, on boarding, and working with Operations team to ensure successful service within agreed SOPs, meeting customers expectations
- Working collaboratively with Operational and Product teams
- Updating and ensuring all relevant information is captured within CRM/ Sales Management System
Qualifications
Over 2 years demonstrable experience in a hunter sales role with a focus on New Business Development working for a Freight or Logistics provider within the UK. Our client is only accepting applications from applicants who are currently working for a Freight Forwarder or Logistics provider based in the UK. If you are not currently working for a Freight or Logistics company in the UK your application will not be considered.
