The Role
ALS Laboratories are looking for a Laboratory Analyst Grade 1 to support their Organics department at ALS Coventry. Laboratory Analysts require a good mix of skills. The person will be responsible for ensuring procedures are followed to effectively and accurately test samples, and record results maintaining accreditations.

The right candidate will have a keen eye for detail, and be able to closely follow instructions.

The day to day

  • Understand customer requirements.
  • Ensure samples are completed efficiently and effectively following all process, procedures, and legislation.
  • Deliver on key performance indicators.
  • Report analytical data.
  • Participate in the Taste and Odour panel on a rotational basis following screening.
  • Assist team members to achieve work objectives.
  • Proactively ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures

  • Qualifications required are 5 GCSEs at Grade C (equivalent to new Grade 4) or above to include Science, Maths and English and an A level or equivalent in scientific subject.
