About the Role
Lead method development projects from conception to UKAS accreditation, ensuring compliance with ISO17025. Work with Operations, Quality, Customer Service and Sales to deliver expert support. Investigate and resolve method issues, preventing impact on routine work. Support third‑party surveillance visits, audits and the accreditation programme. Drive continuous improvement through innovative solutions and deliver training to team members.
Essential Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or related discipline with knowledge of metals, anions, suspended solids, pH and alkalinity.
- Proven laboratory experience in method development and validation to ISO17025, including hands‑on ICP and anion instrumentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot instruments and evaluate validation data.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage across teams.
- Highly organised with attention to detail, prioritisation ability and accurate record‑keeping.
- Proactive, solutions‑focused, strong problem‑solving skills and good IT competence.
