Laboratory Analyst Grade 1 – Inorganics Department, ALS Coventry

Position Details:

  • Hours per week: 37 hours
  • Days: Tuesday to Saturday (08:00-16:00)
  • Contract: Full Time & Fixed Term (12 months maternity cover)
  • Annual Salary: £25,878

Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer requirements.
  • Ensure samples are completed efficiently and effectively following all process, procedures, and legislation.
  • Deliver on key performance indicators.
  • Report and understand analytical data.
  • Participate in the Taste and Odour panel on a rotational basis following screening.
  • Assist team members to achieve work objectives.
  • Proactively ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C (equivalent to the new Grade 4) or above, including Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.
  • Applicants must also hold an A level, or equivalent qualification, in Chemistry or a closely related scientific subject.
  • Strong emphasis on chemical principles and laboratory practice.
