Laboratory Analyst Grade 1 – Inorganics Department, ALS Coventry
Position Details:
- Hours per week: 37 hours
- Days: Tuesday to Saturday (08:00-16:00)
- Contract: Full Time & Fixed Term (12 months maternity cover)
- Annual Salary: £25,878
Responsibilities:
- Understand customer requirements.
- Ensure samples are completed efficiently and effectively following all process, procedures, and legislation.
- Deliver on key performance indicators.
- Report and understand analytical data.
- Participate in the Taste and Odour panel on a rotational basis following screening.
- Assist team members to achieve work objectives.
- Proactively ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C (equivalent to the new Grade 4) or above, including Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.
- Applicants must also hold an A level, or equivalent qualification, in Chemistry or a closely related scientific subject.
- Strong emphasis on chemical principles and laboratory practice.
