We are hiring two Laboratory Analysts to join our high‑throughput food testing laboratory in Chatteris. Your role will involve preparing, testing, and interpreting food samples using advanced techniques including HPLC, wet chemistry and more. You will work within an ISO 17025 accredited quality framework that emphasises precision, traceability and rigorous documentation.

- Shift: Monday to Friday – 08:00-16:00

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing and sample preparation in line with accredited SOPs within our ISO/IEC 17025 quality system.
- Operate and maintain HPLC instrumentation and other analytical equipment.
- Accurately record, interpret and report test results within required timelines.
- Calibrate and troubleshoot lab equipment to ensure reliable, traceable results.
- Collaborate with the team to manage high sample volumes efficiently and safely.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Uphold quality, safety and environmental standards across all activities.
Essentials
- A background in chemistry, biology, food science or a related field (degree or equivalent experience).
- Commercial laboratory experience in a fast‑paced or contract lab environment.
- Experience working within an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited quality system.
- Hands‑on HPLC experience, including operation and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to tasks.
- Comfort working with data, numbers and analytical instruments.
- Ability to focus and perform well under structured or routine processes.
