As our inorganic chemistry Technical Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and developing the methodologies that underpin our analytical services. Working closely with the wider team, you will be instrumental for ensuring our methods meet client expectations and comply with the requirements of regulatory bodies. About the Role

- Contract: Full Time and Permanent

The Day to Day
- Lead method development projects from conception and validation through to write-up and UKAS accreditation pack submission
- Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Customer Service and Sales to provide expert technical support
- Investigate and resolve method issues, identifying root causes and proactively preventing impact on routine work
- Support third-party surveillance visits, UKAS audits and the ISO 17025 accreditation programme
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing innovative solutions and improved procedures
- Deliver hands-on training to team members, building technical capability across the department
The Essentials
- Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or a related discipline with knowledge of metals, anions, suspended solids, pH and alkalinity
- Proven laboratory experience in method development and validation to ISO 17025 requirements, including hands-on ICP and anions instrument experience
- Ability to troubleshoot instruments and evaluate validation and performance data with a practical, hands-on approach
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across teams and with wider stakeholders
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, able to prioritise workload and maintain accurate records
- Proactive and solutions-focused with strong problem-solving ability and good IT skills
