As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead our operational teams, optimise performance, and ensure outstanding service delivery across the business.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory. You will ensure operational excellence through effective leadership, resource planning, process improvement, and performance management.
This role requires a hands‑on leader who can balance people, productivity, quality, and customer service while driving continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure delivery targets, quality standards, and customer expectations are consistently achieved.
- Work closely with the leadership team to establish operational priorities, service levels, and delivery timescales.
- Develop and implement operational plans that support business objectives and growth.
- Monitor operational performance through KPIs and take proactive action to improve results.
Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead, motivate, and develop operational teams to achieve high levels of performance and engagement.
- Manage workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, training, and succession planning.
- Support employee wellbeing and foster a positive, high-performance culture.
- Act as a key liaison with HR on people-related matters.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Leverage technology and systems to improve workflows and business performance.
- Encourage innovation and adaptability across teams.
Quality & Customer Service
- Champion a "Right First Time" approach across all operational activities.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems and industry standards.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 13485 quality processes.
- Empower teams to deliver exceptional service to dental practices and customers.
Financial & Business Performance
- Support the achievement of business profitability targets through efficient resource management.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate waste and non-value-added activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvements that positively impact financial performance.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to support strategic business initiatives.
About You
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior operational leadership role within a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of managing teams, improving processes, and delivering operational results.
- Experience driving performance through KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong people leadership and change management capabilities.
Qualifications
- Degree educated or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant operational, business, or management qualifications are advantageous.
