At ALPLA, we stand for high-quality plastic packaging throughout the world. Around 22,000 colleagues produce quality packaging for foodstuffs, cosmetics and industrial cleaning brands for many blue chip clients across 182 ALPLA sites in 46 countries.
At our Golborne site (5 mins from the J22 or J23 M6) based on the East Lancs Road, we employ over 270 colleagues who produce a number of packaging solutions on a 24/7 basis for major international customers. We now need to strengthen our Packing team and require a Technical Packer/Operative.
Working as a Technical Packer you will have:
- Previous packing experience in fast paced manufacturing environment – responsible for ensuring product being packed meets the required specification and report any defects to supervision.
- Trouble shooting and addressing issues occurring with AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicle).
- To ensure the packaging is of an acceptable standard, removing any cartons, trays, etc. which do not meet the required specification.
- To check that each label is the correct one for the product being packed.
- To ensure that the date and packer no. is clearly marked on each label.
- Good Health and Safety awareness.
