As a Quality Inspector, you will work as part of the Quality department in a shift-based role to support delivery of Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities across the site which operates 24/7.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Attending the shift handover meetings to communicate the current situation and status of current open non-conformance (fault notes & isolations).
- Supplying and verifying the correct defect test pieces to production lines and ensuring they are collected back at the end of a production run.
- Confirming the appropriate specifications and documentation is in place and being completed correctly.
- Accurately recording data in the electronic quality databases system (CAQ) and escalating failings to Management for investigation before the end of the shift.
- Conducting laboratory based analytical testing, as required to support material or colour changes during evenings.
- Carrying out duties as requested by management in accordance with good Health and Safety and quality and food safety practices.
- Ensuring that laboratory and Quality station housekeeping is of the highest standard at all times.
Experience Required:
- Previous role within a Quality / Compliance / Testing position within a manufacturing environment – ideally with experience of laboratory based analytical testing.
- Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail.
- Organised and able to communicate results effectively.
- Awareness and knowledge of food safety policies.
