We are looking for a motivated Shift Support Engineer to work alongside the Shift Engineer in supporting all aspects of plant, facility, and asset maintenance. This role plays a key part in driving Operational Excellence, with a strong focus on Safety, Quality, and Productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Shift Engineer to ensure production equipment operates efficiently and reliably.
  • Carry out servicing and maintenance of site machinery.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
  • Respond to machine breakdowns and support root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records.
  • Actively support continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
  • Promote and lead a strong safety-first culture at all times.

Key Requirements

  • Apprentice-trained preferred.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline is essential.
  • Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment is highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is beneficial.
  • Experience with computer-controlled systems is beneficial.

Location: Wirral

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off – 12 hour days & nights

Salary: Β£47,000 + Benefits
