The job holder will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Health, Safety & Environment policies, and Management systems for the specified plants. You will drive the company's commitment to safety and compliance ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations from Corporate HSE and UK requirements fostering a proactive safety culture. The role provides technical support to Senior Management and supports all plants to implement, drive and monitor all Corporate safety requirements whilst ensuring compliance with all UK legislative requirements and accreditations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop health and safety training programmes for all employees and management teams to promote a safety first culture and reduce overall associated risks.
  • Develop programs and technical guidance and maintain appropriate levels of awareness to identify and control potential risks from the UK plants supporting local HSE representatives.
  • Implement ALPLA Safety programmes.
  • Advise and support all levels of the UK business.
  • Maintain all legal registers and manage ISO 45001 accreditation for the UK business.
  • Facilitate a risk assessment programme for continuous review.
  • Participate, support, mentor, and develop all local HSE representatives within the Plants.
  • Liaise with the UK Head of OPEX & QHSE to roll out all Corporate H&S initiatives.
  • Arrange a schedule of internal audits and reporting against the ISO45001 standard.
  • Provide regular in person guidance and support for all designated Plants.
  • Monitor and analyse HSE performance metrics for all allocated Plants.
  • Provide training and support for your specified plants on HSE topics.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections.

  • NEBOSH diploma qualified.
