Ready to move from "filling a gap" to building a genuine legacy? At Alpine4Care, we are looking for a Registered Manager to lead our established home in Blackley while taking a central role in the upcoming launch of our brand-new service in Bury. This is a strategic opportunity to manage a settled, successful team while embedding your own values and ethos into a growing business.
Why join Alpine4Care?
- Proven Success: Our Blackley home is a solo house where the last young person made such great progress they have already moved into a shared home and full-time education.
- Expert Leadership: Our RI developed from a Support Worker and has 23 years of experience, meaning they understand the industry from the ground up.
- Real Autonomy: This isn’t a corporate box-ticking exercise; you will have the freedom to build your own legacy and influence an established team.
- Visible Support: We operate a flat structure with an open-door policy and directors who are supportive and accessible.
About Our Homes
Our home in Blackley is a freshly decorated end-terrace on a quiet residential street, close to local parks and the motorway network. It features a large garden, and we are currently planning to create a new vegetable patch with the young people. We believe in keeping life active and fun. From DJ lessons and horse riding to guitar lessons and driving practice, we follow the young person’s interests. We can even take our residents on UK and overseas holidays to help them create lasting memories. We are looking for a Registered Manager who can build this same vibrant community in our new Bury service as it opens.
The Role: What you will be doing
You will be inheriting a settled, experienced team including a Deputy, Seniors, and RSWs. While the team is proven, your challenge will be instilling your own best practice and ethos as we transition to a new young person following our last successful placement.
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Strategic Leadership: Creating a positive, safeguarding-first culture where you act as a professional role model for staff and young people alike.
- Operational Excellence: Managing the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring quality standards are met and the training matrix is maintained.
- External Liaison: Acting as a direct and diplomatic point of contact for local authorities, social workers, and the police when required.
- Growth & Commissioning: Overseeing the Blackley home while lead-managing the launch and future dual-registration of our Bury service.
Your Experience and Qualifications
Essential:
- The Background: Proven management experience within residential children’s care.
- Technical Skills: Confident using Microsoft packages with good financial literacy.
- Qualifications: You hold a Level 5 Diploma (or you are currently working towards it with our full support).
- The Personality: You are a confident, proactive team player who can lead from the front with high aspirations for both your team and your young people.
- Logistics: A full UK Driving Licence is essential.
Desirable:
- A proven track record of Good Ofsted ratings as a manager.
- Experience in 2 to 1 or 3 to 1 solo environments.
- Solid knowledge of DOLS (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards).
Your Package and Perks
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (with flexibility for on-call and occasional nights).
Perks: Access to a pool car, a comprehensive EAP, and an enhanced recognition scheme for top performers.
