Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure composite components and tooling to support production and development requirements.
  • Manage supplier selection, validation and performance in collaboration with Quality, Finance and Engineering.
  • Negotiate commercial terms to ensure best value for money while respecting agreed budgets.
  • Own the end‑to‑end purchasing process, ensuring compliant, accurate and timely PO management.
  • Monitor lead times and proactively chase deliveries to meet project deadlines.
  • Support recovery actions where deliveries or projects are at risk.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates to support budgeting and forecasting.
  • Identify cost‑saving opportunities and challenge avoidable costs.
  • Support continuous improvement of purchasing policies, processes and ways of working.
  • Maintain clear, accurate reporting of purchasing activity.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong technical understanding of composite components and manufacturing processes (Formula 1 or high‑performance engineering experience desirable).
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Proven experience purchasing engineered or technical components.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of procurement best practice (CIPS qualification desirable but not essential).
  • Confident negotiator with a strong commercial mindset.
  • Comfortable working with ERP systems (Microsoft AX preferred) and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to manage multiple priorities.
