Alpine Formula One Team is looking for a detail-driven Inspector to join our Quality Control team on a Fixed Term Contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of components used at the highest level of motorsport.
The Role
You will be responsible for inspecting complex components against engineering drawings and technical specifications, ensuring they meet exacting quality standards and are released efficiently to the next stage of production.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect components to engineering drawings using GD&T and agreed sampling rates
- Verify material and treatment documentation in line with specifications
- Identify and record non-conformances clearly within company systems
- Support manufacturing teams with first-off inspections and technical feedback
- Maintain accurate inspection and job completion records
- Ensure correct part marking, traceability, and documentation control
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to support continuous improvement
- Contribute to efficiency improvements and inspection best practice
Essential
- Strong engineering background with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings (including GD&T)
- Experience using inspection equipment such as CMMs, laser scanners, and bench tools
- Experience using PolyWorks and PC-Dmis software
- High attention to detail with accurate data recording skills
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems
- Ability to follow technical procedures and work to tight deadlines
- Effective communicator with a proactive, team-oriented approach
Desirable
- Experience creating or editing CMM inspection programmes
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Knowledge of part marking, traceability, and inspection documentation processes
