Alpine F1 Team have an opportunity to join the team as Indirect Buyer – Production and Operations at our site in Enstone.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:

  • Procurement of goods and services within Indirect OpEx and CapEx commodity categories such as Production, Operation, R&D, Logistics and Quality in accordance with Alpine Racing Purchasing Rules.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and working practices to continuously improve performance and results of the Indirect Purchasing team.
  • Support the supplier relationship management of business-critical, indirect vendors, helping drive value, performance, and operational efficiency in line with contractual KPI\’s and SLA\’s
  • Lead full life-cycle sourcing projects and category management – coaching and managing key stakeholders through all stages of the end-to-end purchasing process, from opportunity identification, supplier negotiation and contract drafting/signature
  • Effectively communicate delivery and development status to the Purchasing Manager for both projects and staffing responsibilities
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as directed by the Purchasing Manager

The Person

  • Up-to-date knowledge and experience of best-practice Purchasing of goods and services (CIPS qualification preferred).
  • Understanding of Company objectives and the role of the Purchasing Department.
  • Experience of \”owning\” negotiations with suppliers – notably legal and commercial terms of contracts (including JCT and NEC4 contracts).
  • Strong negotiator in diverse fields (eg CapEx, goods, services).
  • Evidence of driving value and reducing risk throughout the Procurement lifecycle.
  • Confident communicator with an engaging personality, able to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
