About Us: We are a high-performance Formula One Team driven by innovation, precision, and commitment to developing our people. Our Human Resources team partners closely with departments across the organisation to support talent development, organisational capability, and a high performance culture. As an HR Placement Student, you’ll gain hands-on experience across people insights, recruitment and strategic HR initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful work that enables our team to perform at the highest level in Formula One.
The Role: As an HR Placement Student, you will support our HR Business Partners in delivering both operational and strategic people initiatives. You’ll provide analytical, project, and coordination support to improve employee experience, strengthen HR processes, and enable data-driven decision making across the business. You’ll gain exposure to the employee lifecycle, workforce planning, HR data and reporting, and a range of development, culture, and wellbeing projects that underpin our high performance environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- People Insights & Reporting: Support the creation of people dashboards, reports, and data packs. Analyse trends such as headcount, turnover, absence, engagement, and capability. Prepare clear insight summaries for HRBPs and leadership reviews.
- Employee Lifecycle Support (Non Operational): Review onboarding, probation and exit themes to identify trends. Support action planning for engagement, development, or organisational improvements. Contribute to workforce planning insights, including movement and pipelines.
- Recruitment Support: Assist HRBPs and hiring managers with job design and role profile creation. Coordinate shortlisting processes and support candidate screening. Organise interview logistics, scheduling and candidate communication. Contribute to recruitment insights such as pipeline data or time to hire metrics.
- Skills Matrix & Capability Development: Maintain and update departmental and organisational skills matrices. Support skills gap and capability analysis. Work with the Talent Development team to align insights with development activity.
- Strategic HR & Culture Projects: Support HRBP led initiatives on engagement, wellbeing, culture and organisational development. Conduct research and benchmarking to inform recommendations. Prepare background material, presentations and project documents.
- HRBP Team Support: Assist with preparing meeting materials, presentations, and briefing documents. Attend selected meetings to observe, take minutes, and track actions. Collaborate with HR Operations and Talent Development on cross functional projects.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Currently studying a degree with a placement year (HR, Business, Psychology, Data Analytics or related).
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders.
- Comfortable working with data and producing accurate insights.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Professional, discreet and able to handle sensitive information.
- Proactive, curious and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship.
- Must be available to attend onsite interviews.
