The Role
Alpine Formula One Team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Engineer to champion occupational safety and environmental best practices across our cutting-edge motorsport and manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities
As our HSE Engineer, you will be the subject matter expert in occupational safety engineering, ensuring compliance and fostering a proactive safety culture. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive risk assessments across all operational areas
- Developing and implementing safe systems of work and safety procedures
- Enhancing the safety awareness and competence of managers and employees
- Delivering safety-related training and identifying ongoing training needs
- Monitoring compliance with HSE legislation and internal policies
- Investigating incidents and near misses, recommending corrective actions
- Maintaining accurate records of inspections, audits, and reports
- Liaising with external regulatory bodies and ensuring statutory reporting
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business
- Conducting HSE inductions for new team members
- Promoting environmental protection and supporting EDI goals
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a proactive, solution-focused individual with a passion for safety and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have:
- NEBOSH Certificate and IEMA Foundation Certificate (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in occupational safety, ideally in manufacturing or motorsport
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and risk management
- Experience developing and implementing safe systems of work
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to influence a positive safety culture and environmental awareness
- Strong organisational and time management capabilities
