CAM Programmer

We are looking for a highly skilled CAM Programmer to join our Programming team and play a key role in transforming complex designs into high-performance metallic components that help drive success on and off the track. Based within our CAM department, this is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment where precision, quality and continuous improvement are paramount.

The Role

Reporting to the CAM Team Leader - Metallics, you will utilise CAM software to create safe, efficient and high-quality NC programs for the manufacture of metallic components. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and management teams to ensure parts are produced to specification while maximising machine and tooling performance.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Creating and verifying NC programs using HyperMILL and Vericut software.
• Reviewing technical drawings, models and manufacturing requirements.
• Deploying efficient machining strategies to maximise machine utilisation.
• Support design for manufacture activities.
• Ensuring tooling libraries are effectively utilised.
• Capturing and reviewing feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver accurate technical information.
• Managing workload through D365, Work To Lists and other company systems to meet critical deadlines.
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance and quality standards.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience programming CNC machines, including tooling, methodology, speeds and feeds.
• An excellent engineering background with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T and technical specifications.
• Experience developing machining processes for complex metallic components.
• Strong PC literacy, including Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing systems such as Dynamics 365.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
• A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to perform effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
