We’re looking for a high-performing Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Information Technology team. Reporting to the Business Intelligence Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality data and reporting solutions that support both strategic and operational decision-making across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on owning solution design, engaging stakeholders, and shaping governance across Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.

You’ll sit at the heart of a dynamic, high-performance environment, helping to champion a strong data culture and advance our reporting and analytics capabilities.

The Role

In this role, you will take ownership of designing, building, and maintaining Power BI reporting solutions that deliver trusted, actionable insights for operational teams and senior stakeholders alike. You will develop and optimise datasets to ensure performance, usability, and scalability, while writing and refining SQL queries to support data sourcing, transformation, and validation. A key part of your work will involve investigating and resolving data quality, refresh, and performance issues across reports, semantic models, and Fabric pipelines. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, translating their requirements into intuitive dashboards and analytical outputs, while promoting the value of high-quality KPIs as key drivers of performance. You will also play an important role in supporting and enhancing the organisation’s Power BI self‑service capability, providing guidance and troubleshooting within established governance frameworks. Alongside this, you’ll develop and maintain Microsoft Fabric data pipelines to enable certified, reusable datasets, contributing to governance activities such as documentation and access management.

Day‑to‑day, you’ll provide support across BI solutions, managing enhancements, resolving user queries, and ensuring smooth operation. You’ll stay up to date with developments across Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and capability, while also delivering training and sharing knowledge with colleagues. Collaboration will be key, as you work with data engineering, ERP, and wider IT teams on cross‑platform initiatives, all while adhering to ITIL Change Management processes to ensure changes are robust, well‑documented, and safely deployed.

The Person

We’re looking for someone who brings a genuine passion for data and analytics, paired with a strong eye for visual storytelling and usability. You’ll be detail‑oriented, committed to quality, and motivated to continually improve. With the ability to manage competing priorities and perform under pressure, you’ll take a proactive, team‑first approach and bring a positive, professional mindset to everything you do. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll be comfortable engaging with both technical and non‑technical audiences. A relevant bachelor’s degree is highly desirable.

Essential Skills (in Depth Understanding Required)

  • 3+ years’ experience in a BI, data analyst, or report developer role using Microsoft BI technologies
  • Strong experience translating business requirements into effective reporting solutions
  • Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and data issues
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI, including DAX, data modelling, transformation, and visualisation
  • Strong T‑SQL skills for querying, transformation, and optimisation
  • Experience with SSRS or paginated reporting solutions
  • Experience retrieving and integrating data via APIs

Desirable (basic Knowledge Required)

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power Automate, Dataverse, Python, Azure technologies (such as Azure SQL and Data Lake), Office 365, Dynamics 365, Azure DevOps, or Agile methodologies would be advantageous.

What We Offer

In return, we offer a supportive environment where you can continue to grow your skills through on‑the‑job learning with experienced BI professionals, cross‑functional workshops, and access to corporate training and external development opportunities. You’ll benefit from a comprehensive training and mentoring programme, alongside a competitive benefits package that includes a company pension scheme, private healthcare, and flexible working opportunities. You’ll also have access to excellent on‑site facilities, including a free gym and subsidised restaurant, as well as additional benefits such as a holiday buy‑back scheme designed to support your personal and professional wellbeing.
