Central government client is seeking a Policy, Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement professional to work at Deputy Director level. The role is to work within central government and health.
The Deputy Director for Policy, Strategy and Engagement will:
- Lead and direct the strategy, policy, and stakeholder engagement
- Ensure strategic plans and policies are developed and delivered in line with corporate objectives
- Be a key adviser to the Executive Team and Board on senior stakeholder engagement
- Develop and deliver a stakeholder engagement strategy, ensuring effective relationships with key partners across the NHS, government departments, regulatory and advocacy bodies
- Lead and coordinate the organisations engagement with senior stakeholders in NHS, government departments, regulatory and advocacy bodies
- Lead, develop, and support high-performing teams
Essential criteria includes:
- Experience in a senior strategy, policy, research, or stakeholder engagement role
- Proven track record of developing and implementing strategy and policy
- In-depth understanding of strategy development, policy analysis, research and stakeholder engagement methods
- Knowledge of the NHS in England and/or UK government departments and agencies
- Understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in public service delivery
The Deputy Director for Policy, Strategy and Engagement is a 12 months fixed term appointment, hybrid with offices in London and Manchester and occasional travel between the two expected.
