Alpine F1 Team have a new opportunity as a Paint & Graphics Technician to join our Paint & Graphics Team.
The Role
As Paint & Graphics Technician, you will play a crucial role in the visual identity and branding of our F1 team. Working closely with our design team, you will be responsible for the preparation, masking, priming, painting and finishing of race parts as well the ability to apply vinyl graphics. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to the overall aesthetic of our race cars, ensuring they stand out on the track and in the minds of fans worldwide.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Preparing, masking, priming, painting and finishing of race cars parts, including chassis, bodywork and aerodynamic components, as well as race team equipment and other factory items.
- Ensuring all painted components meet the team’s stringent quality and aesthetic standards, with attention to weight optimisation and aerodynamic performance.
- Prepare and apply vinyl graphics for race cars, ensuring accuracy and adherence to team branding guidelines.
- Maintain an organised inventory of materials and supplies, ensuring efficient workflow and timely production.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure finished paint work and graphics meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and durability.
- Assist with on-site installation of graphics at races and events, including international travel as required.
- Actively contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
- Operating and maintaining spray booths, paint mixing areas, and all associated equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
The Person
- Expertise in painting techniques, including advanced coatings, lacquers and custom finishes for composite materials.
- Experience in vinyl and wrapping, preferably in a motorsport or automotive setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work of the highest quality under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Flexibility to travel internationally for races and events, often at short notice.
- Energetic, positive attitude with a passion for motorsport and a desire to contribute to the success of our team.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to paint facilities, including hazardous materials handling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, particularly within the unique demands of Formula 1.
