About Us
We are a high-performance Formula One Team driven by innovation, precision, and passion. Our Aerodynamic Performance group plays a critical role in maximising the car\’s on-track performance by analysing aerodynamic data and supporting development decisions. As an Aero Performance Intern, you\’ll be part of a team that transforms wind tunnel, CFD, and track data into actionable insights that help shape the car\’s design and race strategy.
The Role
As an Aero Performance Intern, you\’ll support the team in analysing aerodynamic behaviour, validating development concepts, and contributing to performance optimisation across a range of conditions. You\’ll work closely with aerodynamicists, simulation engineers, and vehicle performance teams to ensure the car\’s aero package delivers maximum efficiency and downforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in analysing wind tunnel, CFD, and trackside aerodynamic data
- Support the validation of aero concepts through simulation and testing
- Help prepare performance reports and visualisations for design reviews and race events
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in aero analysis workflows
- Collaborate with design, simulation, and race engineering teams to ensure aerodynamic performance is fully understood and utilised
Who We\’re Looking For
- Currently studying a degree in Aerodynamics, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of aerodynamic principles and vehicle dynamics
- Experience with data analysis tools and CFD software is beneficial
- Passion for motorsport and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset
- You must have the right to work in the UK as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
- Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in October
