We are looking for a Proposals Engineer to join our busy and ambitious team, working on contract values ranging from £100k to £5m+. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping major projects across multiple high-demand sectors.

As part of our Major Projects Proposals Team, you will be responsible for estimating in line with our agreed business plan, ensuring accurate, competitive, and technically robust tender submissions. You will be at the forefront of developing sprinkler specifications, supporting customers from initial enquiry through to detailed proposal, working collaboratively to win and deliver exceptional projects.

What you will be doing:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates for sprinkler systems on projects valued between £100k – £5m+
  • Applying strong technical knowledge across sprinkler standards including LPC and FM
  • Producing AutoCAD block plans and supporting tender documentation
  • Completing detailed site surveys and communicating effectively with all relevant stakeholders throughout the tender process
  • Supporting preliminary calculations
  • Contributing to accurate, competitive, and high-quality proposal submissions
  • Working across key sectors including Automotive, Pharma, Food & Beverage (Special Risk experience beneficial but not essential)
  • Applying knowledge of pricing, warehousing, distribution, and manufacturing processes
  • Collaborating closely with the Project Design Team to support both new and live contracts

What we are looking for:

  • Strong working knowledge of sprinkler standards (BS EN 12845, LPC, FM essential)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD for tender support documentation
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of pricing structures
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail
  • UK-based role
  • Remote working available
  • Occasional travel to the office may be required depending on project or team needs
