PURPOSE
Assisting with all recording, reviewing, monitoring and coordination within the Health, Safety & Environmental department including further developing and simplifying current systems. Working with and supporting the SHE Manager on a range of projects and initiatives to help drive improvements and continual improvement of all the Alpine safe systems of work. Although there will be a lot of coordinating and recording involved, both the SHE Manager and Coordinator will need to work on this together to continually record and monitor trends, find and implement opportunities for improvement across all aspects of the department. This is not a static administration role and involves constant learning and understanding of regulations and legislations with an exciting career flight path to receiving IOSH membership as a H&S professional.
Description of the Role (this list is dynamic and not exhaustive)
- Assisting in SHE audits and inspections (internally and on site)
- Assisting in incident investigations including witness interviews, recording, and analysing root causes.
- Helping to develop and implement the company health and wellbeing programme.
- Recording all findings and producing mandatory reports following inspections and monthly statutory reporting as per HSE guidelines.
- Ensure all relevant health, safety records (e.g. risk assessments, non-conformance reports, incident registers etc.) are kept, maintained, and updated as and when necessary.
- Review and update training files reconciling with the training matrix arranging suitable courses whilst liaising with the learner.
- Receiving, recording, and reviewing site paperwork bringing non-conformances and concerns to the attention of the SHE Manager and assisting NC close outs and end of month reporting.
- Liaising with Clients and Subcontractors for receipt, reviewing and recording of mandatory documents.
- Collating records for assisting the business development department when completing potential client questionnaires.
- Producing and issuing toolbox talks, receiving, and recording briefing records and reviewing missing information.
- Assisting the SHE Manager in developing and implementing companywide safe systems of work including auditing these systems for compliance and producing non-conformance reports.
- Administer the H&S Shared drive ensuring all information stored is relevant and up to date.
- Assisting in the procurement details, issue and recording of PPE.
- Maintaining accreditation records and assisting the SHE Manager in the annual completion of qualification questionnaires and evidence.
- Liaising with Subcontractors and Alpine Supervisors for mandatory documentation and records.
- Assisting in the receipt and review of Client Construction phase plans ensuring all requirements are contained within the Alpine SSoW.
- Producing and issuing site H&S Files liaising with the Project Engineer to ensure these are briefed and the mandatory forms are recorded and chasing any missing information.
