The Business Development Executive is to drive efforts in establishing and securing new business growth opportunities through outbound communication and networking using the phone and other platforms. A key objective is to extend/diversify our offer to new prospects using agreed sales methods. Based at the Alpine Head Office with Hybrid working available, there is a responsibility for promoting a culture of growth through sales across the business which will require effective communication and collaboration across all departments.
DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE (including accountabilities)
- Find new clients through the assistance of lead generation campaigns, LinkedIn, online search engines, and referrals from the existing client base.
- Qualify new enquiries in accordance with the business strategy.
- Ensure high level of customer service at all levels.
- Follow up on all leads in a timely manner.
- Be knowledgeable about the products and services offered by Alpine in addition to our competitors.
- Proactively seek ways of introducing additional revenue streams.
- Identify and communicate within our business any factors that may affect customer retention, contract renewal or revenue forecast.
- Be aware of market trends, associations and forums involving our Industry and target sectors.
- Maintain a positive attitude that inspires co-workers and clients to grow the business.
- Negotiate with customers using agreed methods to develop profitable business and sustainable relationships.
- Desire to communicate using the phone and build business relationships.
- Ensure that the company’s CRM is updated and maintained on a daily basis and to ensure accuracy of information and inputs such as key contact information, dates and notes/follow up tasks.
- To be an ambassador within the business for Alpine’s company values and competencies.
