Alpine F1 Team have an opportunity to join the team as a Technical Buyer with a focus on Composite Parts and Assemblies.
Role Overview: Reporting to the Procurement Manager, your main responsibility will be procuring and delivering externally supplied composite components, assemblies, sub components and tooling to support the development and construction of our Formula 1 car. You will ensure:
- Continuous supply of technical components and assemblies from our suppliers.
- Timely delivery of all parts.
- Management of free issued components associated with final composite assemblies.
- Management of the commercial aspects of all requirements until delivery.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders such as planning, quality, and manufacturing.
- Support in creating and deploying best practice procurement processes suitable for the business.
- Development of supplier relationships and acting as the key contact for all suppliers.
Candidate Profile: We are looking for someone with current knowledge and experience in best practice purchasing of composite components and assemblies within motorsport or engineering. The ideal candidate will be a strong negotiator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of interacting confidently with staff at all levels within the organisation. You should be able to work effectively in a high-pressure environment. While a CIPS qualification is preferred, it is not essential.
