As the Team Leader of our Inspection team, you will supervise and develop a team of Inspectors, ensuring clarity of daily priorities and the effective flow of work throughout the department. • Check material and treatment documentation against route operations and technical specifications.
  • Oversee timely and accurate work order bookings.
  • Review and adjust work schedules to resolve inspection quality or scheduling issues.
  • Maintain proficiency in measurement equipment to support less experienced users and peak demand.
  • Contribute to departmental improvement initiatives.
  • Support NCR reporting and resolve local nonconformance queries.
  • Act as understudy to the Quality Control Manager when required.

The successful candidate will be a proven people leader, capable of building cohesive, high-performing teams that thrive under pressure. You will have:

  • A strong engineering background and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and technical specifications.
  • Experience using measurement technologies such as CMM or portable Arm systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, with particular experience in Dynamics 365 and Excel.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to create a positive, proactive team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to remain composed when working to strict deadlines.
  • A flexible, collaborative, ‘can do’ attitude, with the drive to deliver high standards consistently.
