As an Ethics & Compliance Student Placement, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting a broad range of compliance activities within a fast-paced Formula One environment. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful initiatives that help safeguard our reputation and support the highest standards of ethical business conduct.
The Role
During your placement, you will support the Ethics & Compliance Manager in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the team's ethics and compliance programme. You'll contribute to activities spanning anti-bribery and corruption, data protection, whistleblowing, conflicts of interest, third-party due diligence, policy management, and employee training and communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Policy Development & Management
- Support the development, review, and maintenance of ethics and compliance policies and procedures
- Assist with policy communications and awareness initiatives across the business
- Help ensure policies remain aligned with legal and regulatory requirements
- Training & Communications
- Assist in the design, preparation, and delivery of ethics and compliance training materials
- Support employee awareness campaigns and compliance communications
- Help track training completion and maintain related records
- Due Diligence & Risk Assessment
- Support ethics and compliance assessments of third parties, including suppliers and partners
- Assist with due diligence activities and record keeping
- Contribute to risk assessment and monitoring activities
- Compliance Monitoring & Reporting
- Support monitoring activities to identify potential compliance risks or policy breaches
- Assist with maintaining accurate compliance records and documentation
- Help prepare reports and presentations for senior management
- Contribute to the development of compliance metrics and reporting packs
- Ethics & Compliance Projects
- Support ongoing ethics, governance, and compliance initiatives across the business
- Conduct research and benchmarking activities where required
- Assist with continuous improvement projects within the Ethics & Compliance function
Who We're Looking For
- Currently studying a degree in Law, Business, Governance, Risk Management, Politics, International Relations, Criminology, or a related discipline, and seeking an industry placement during your penultimate year of university
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Comfortable working with data, records, and documentation
- A proactive and professional approach with a strong sense of integrity
- Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across different areas of the business
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- French language skills would be beneficial but are not essential
- You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
- You must be available to attend onsite interviews
