Composite Technician (Assembly) – The Role

To carry out the precise trimming, assembly, and finishing of composite components to meet high standards of quality, safety, and production efficiency. The role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Trim composite components using hand tools, air tools, and templates to meet tight tolerances.
  • Assemble composite parts using bonding techniques, adhesives, and mechanical fasteners.
  • Interpret and follow technical drawings, lay‑up schedules, and work instructions.
  • Conduct surface preparation, sanding, deburring, and finishing operations.
  • Perform visual inspections and report any defects or non-conformances.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work area.
