Our composite machining function produces high precision, race‑critical components using state‑of‑the‑art machinery and advanced composite materials. As a Composite Machining Trainee, you’ll join an environment where learning is hands‑on, standards are world-class, and your development is taken seriously from day one.
The Role
The Composite Machining Trainee role is designed for individuals looking to build a career in high precision composite manufacturing within Formula One. Working alongside experienced machinists and team leaders, you will be trained in the machining of composite components. Through structured on-the-job learning, you’ll develop the technical skills, attention to detail, and professional behaviours required to progress into a fully competent composite machinist role. This is a practical, shop‑floor based role in a fast paced, performance‑driven environment where accuracy, safety, and teamwork are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and assist in composite machining and trimming operations under supervision
- Support CNC machining composite components to specification
- Prepare, load, and unload parts, fixtures, and tooling safely and accurately
- Follow technical drawings, route cards, and work instructions precisely
- Carry out basic measurement and inspection checks to ensure quality standards are met
- Identify and report quality concerns or non-conformance's in line with procedures
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organisation, and cleanliness
- Work collaboratively with laminating, trim & assembly, quality, and engineering teams
- Actively engage in training, feedback, and development activities
Who We’re Looking For
