About Us
We are a high-performance Formula One team driven by innovation, precision, and passion. Our Aerodynamic Performance group plays a key role in understanding and predicting airflow behaviour around the car, enabling data-driven decisions that shape aerodynamic development. As an Aero Simulation and Correlation Student Placement, you’ll be part of a team that leverages aerodynamic data from a variety of sources to help drive aero performance on the race car.
The Role
As an Aero Simulation and Correlation Student Placement, you’ll help further our on-track performance and rate of aerodynamic development by assisting engineers with correlation and simulation related projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in projects understanding how the aero behaviour on the race car correlates to our tools
- Contribute to simulation studies to help drive future car development directions
- Contribute to the development of data analysis and visualisation workflows
- Collaborate with design and performance teams to ensure aerodynamic insights are effectively applied
Who We’re Looking For
- Currently studying for an engineering degree (e.g., Aeronautical, Mechanical, Automotive) and seeking an industry placement in your penultimate year of university
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and aerodynamic principles
- Knowledge of wind tunnel experimental techniques and computational fluid simulations beneficial
- Experience with scientific programming, data visualization and statistical data analysis
- Familiarity with vehicle dynamics and race-car performance factors is beneficial
- Passion for motorsport and a proactive, analytical mindset
- You must have the right to work in the UK, as we cannot provide sponsorship for this role
- Be available to attend onsite for an assessment centre in September
