Due to our company expanding rapidly, we are now looking for an electrician to join our team. We are a small construction company based in Southend on Sea. The type of properties we work in are all insurance claims ranging from fire damaged, flood damaged, escape of water, impact damage etc.
Some of our claims will require you to carry out a test and report, whereas most will involve a complete strip out and rewire of residential properties.
- Domestic consumer unit replacements
- Temporary board installation
- Installation of earth bonding
- Installation of RCDs/RCBOs
- Installation of surge protection
- Installation of smoke detection
- Installation of new circuits
- Testing
- Other minor electrical works
Requirements:
- Level Three Electrical Qualification
- Full clean driving licence
- 2391 Testing Certificate
- Minimum three years' experience working as an electrician
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, negotiation, and persuasion skills, including the ability to weigh up and articulate the risk and benefit of various scenarios and propose effective resolutions. The ability to follow technical drawings, building plans and wiring diagrams. A willingness to work in confined spaces and a flexible approach.
The successful candidate will be expected to be on site from 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday. Please note that you will be expected to travel to all the above areas; however, due to the type of work, you could be in London in the morning and then Bedfordshire in the afternoon as an example. Please be prepared to travel.
