We are currently recruiting for Trainee Dental Nurses/Receptionists to work within our practices in both Hexham and Crawcrook.

Candidates need to have a minimum of grade 4 at GCSE/grade C at O-level in both Maths and English. No experience is required as full training will be given and successful candidates will be enrolled on the course to study for a Diploma in Dental Nursing.

The role involves:

  • Giving chairside assistance to the dentist/hygienist and facilitating the treatment of patients.
  • Processing instruments through the decontamination room and following the full sterilisation procedure.
  • Keeping the surgery clean and tidy.

Reception duties include:

  • Welcoming patients into the practice and processing their paperwork.
  • Answering the phones, booking appointments on the computer system (we use R4), and taking payments.
  • Cashing up at the end of the day.

Candidates should be computer literate, possess good communication skills, be able to work without supervision, and use their own initiative.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 30.5 per week
