Reports to: Director, Sales Program Management

The Revenue Operations team at AlphaSense drives productivity and improves efficiency for our account executives, account managers and sales development reps. We create and implement operational reporting & analytics, improve processes, and enable strategic initiatives that impact the revenue organization.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, strategic, and collaborative Deal Desk Analyst to support our sales teams in day to day execution of key deals. This role will serve as a partner to Account Executives and Account Managers; working with them to build quotes, execute contracts, and review redlines. The ideal candidate has experience working in a deal desk role for a SAAS company.

  • Deal Structuring & Review:
    • Help maintain team SLAs for timely changes.
    • Assist sales teams in designing quotes and contracts, including product bundling, and multi-year 'ramp' deals.
    • Serve as the primary gatekeeper for non-standard terms, ensuring all necessary stakeholders (legal, accounting, finance) sign off on exceptions.
    • Support policy and compliance by enforcing 'guardrails' regarding discounting levels, revenue recognition standards, and legal liability.
    • Work with sales enablement to train sales representatives on how to use Salesforce CPQ and Ironclad.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Identify 'friction points' in the sales cycle and implement automation or workflow improvements to increase deal velocity.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with CRM (Salesforce), CPQ tools, and contract management systems (e.g., Ironclad, DocuSign CLM).
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to pushback in challenging situations.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • 2+ years of experience in deal desk or contract management in a SaaS or technology environment.
  • Understanding of B2B commercial contracts and deal structures.
