About the Team: The Directed Content Team is an integral part of the Expert Insights group, generating thousands of calls each quarter on high-value and strategic content targets - ensuring that the AlphaSense Expert Transcript Library (ETL) delivers comprehensive coverage to our users. The Directed Content team is responsible for identifying, recruiting, and onboarding the best possible experts from around the world based on the targets and topics we are looking to generate content against.
About the Role: As a Sector Lead (Energy & Industrials) on our Directed Content team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring AlphaSense delivers the highest-quality proprietary research content within your assigned sector. Reporting to the Director of Research for E&I you will oversee the day-to-day execution of Directed Content projects, ensuring all work meets the firm’s standards for quality, relevance, and end-user value delivery. Your responsibilities will span project setup, expert sourcing guidance, transcript quality assurance, budget oversight, and performance management.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with the Director of Research to develop and maintain a strategic sector roadmap, translating it into a structured execution plan.
- Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers overseeing Directed Content projects.
- Collaborate with Operations Managers to align operational KPIs to coverage strategy.
- Own expert budget management for your sector, allocating resources effectively.
- Oversee a structured QA process for ensuring transcripts meet the highest standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Research and Content Strategy Analyst to monitor engagement data and identify coverage gaps.
- Establish and maintain feedback loops with call takers and project teams.
- Maintain deep familiarity with ongoing developments within the Energy & Industrials sector.
Who You Are: You have 5–7 years of experience in equity research, market intelligence, consulting, or a related analytical role within Energy & Industrials (E&I). You bring deep domain expertise in Energy & Industrials with a strong grasp of the key players, business models, and industry trends shaping your space. You have proven people management experience, successfully leading, mentoring, and developing teams. You possess exceptional organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, able to balance multiple priorities while maintaining high quality standards.
