Network Engineer
Position Summary
We are seeking a Network Engineer to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operation of the organization’s network infrastructure. The primary focus of this role is supporting a Cisco Meraki environment, identifying and resolving network issues, and helping ensure reliable network connectivity and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, with a primary focus on Cisco Meraki.
- Diagnose and resolve network connectivity, performance, and availability issues.
- Support Cisco Meraki networking equipment, including switches, wireless access points, security appliances, and related infrastructure.
- Monitor network health and performance through the Meraki Dashboard and other available network monitoring tools.
- Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, and general network connectivity issues.
- Perform routine network maintenance, configuration changes, firmware updates, and equipment replacement as needed.
- Investigate network incidents, identify root causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Support network users and coordinate with internal IT teams when resolving infrastructure-related issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, incidents, and troubleshooting activities.
- Escalate complex network issues when necessary and work with vendors or other technical teams through resolution.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting Cisco Meraki network environments.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and VPNs.
- Experience troubleshooting LAN, WAN, and wireless network connectivity.
- Familiarity with Cisco Meraki Dashboard administration and network monitoring.
- Ability to diagnose network issues systematically and work through problems independently.
- Experience performing routine network maintenance and configuration changes.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Meraki MX, MS, and MR products.
- Experience supporting enterprise or multi-site network environments.
- Familiarity with firewalls, site-to-site VPNs, wireless networking, and network security concepts.
- Cisco or Meraki-related certifications are a plus.
